Beaded and Sterling Silver jewellery making Workshops & Mini Birthday Parties

Silver plated and Beaded Jewellery

Design your own unique silver plated and beaded pieces of jewellery using a design board and various pliers. There is a wide collection of sparkly beads, charms, tassels and pom-poms, silver plated chains etc available to choose from. You can make about 2 to 3 pieces each of your choice. The workshops are for children (6+), teens and adults. Children can attend without a parent being present. There is a maximum space of 6 children or 4 adults (or two sets of parent/ child) for the beaded jewellery workshops.

Prices for a 2 hour beaded jewellery workshop

For 1 person- £65

Solid Sterling Silver Jewellery

Mini Birthday party package includes 6 children, costs £220 and you won't have to do a thing! I will decorate the studio with birthday bunting and hang balloons at the side gate. There is free parking in the street. It also includes mini party bags, and a birthday present. Drinks (a choice of two juices) are also included. You don't even have to tidy up at the end. All you need to do is bring is a cake or cupcakes for in the break halfway through.

The 3 hour sterling silver jewellery workshops are aimed for teens and adults, various options are available. Older children (8-12 year olds) could also attend if for example attending with their mother/ father/ grandparent/ nanny etc. The adult (or myself) will do the soldering part for them. Or you can opt for a cuff or open ring where no soldering is needed. At present 4 persons is the maximum for the sterling silver workshops.

Sterling Silver Stacking Rings

You will be guided through all the techniques and design methods acquired to make 3 (solid sterling) silver stacking rings. You will learn to make textures using hammers, shape the rings using a hammer and mallet, solder, file, sandpaper and polish using various tools and equipment.

Sterling Silver Textured Band Ring

On this workshop you will learn all the techniques needed to make a textured silver band ring or open ring. You will also make same texture sample sheets from brass or copper using a rolling mill and or hammers. After you have shaped your ring you will solder, file, paper and polish (you can also choose to have a mat/ satin finish).

Sterling Silver Textured Bangle or cuff

You will be shown all the techniques and design methods acquired to make a sterling silver bangle (closed) or cuff and a couple of textured samples from copper or brass. The cuff has an open or overlapping back so no soldering will be involved. You will learn to make textures (using a rolling mill and or hammers) to pierce out your bangle, file, paper and polish. There’s an extra material cost of £12.50 pp for the sterling silver bangle/ cuff workshop

For 1 person- £65

For 2 people- £100 (£50 p.p.)

For 3 people- £135 (£45 p.p.)

For 4 people- £160 (£40 p.p.)

The price of all the workshops includes focused private tuition from a qualified jewellery maker and tutor, materials, use of specialist tools, refreshment (coffee, tea, juice & biscuits) and an organza bag or jewellery box to put your piece of jewellery in. Friends and family are popular bookings.

Whole day workshops for beginners and intermediate will be added soon! (Bangles with folds, solder joints, wax carving, silver clay and resin gemstones). Please note that I am also a part-time teacher and am therefore DBS checked and safeguarding and health and safety trained.

Private lessons/ courses

I also do private lessons/ courses. In these classes you can tell me what you would like to learn and make or I can inspire you with ideas! The cost is £30ph per person. Discounts are available if more people join and book a 5 week course.
